Since then, I have found that drinking cranberry juice concentrate (no sugar) in water throughout the day really helps prevent UTI's. You may already know about this but if not it might be worth a try. Hope it helps!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6976439803135772679.post-13630732737679317182011-09-03T06:06:02.967-07:002011-09-03T06:06:02.967-07:00Hey there. I've been reading your blog and found it encouraging, but also sad that you too are experiencing the "one step forward, two steps back" malarky.

It seems that over the pond you get far much more help into this than we brits do in the NHS! I had some surgery to remove scar tissue i got from splitting on my posterior fourchette during sex (and I have vestibulodynia associated with it now). A year after the operation I've split again and basically been told I have to live with it until I have kids, and then the hormones in pregnancy might help but no guarantee!! No mention whatsoever of these estrogen creams..

There is very little support in the NHS here for the psychological side of it. it is obviously affecting my relationship with my partner but we've not got access to a therapist.

Anyway i deviate... If you're susceptible to yeast infections when taking antibiotics, applying a probiotic yoghurt into your vagina whilst for a few days, this helps restore the good bacteria which get killed off by the antibiotics and can prevent the yeast infections. It is a messy process, but it definitely does work.

AmyAmynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6976439803135772679.post-28227347031092817252011-08-10T16:43:03.337-07:002011-08-10T16:43:03.337-07:00Thank you so much!Thank you so much!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6976439803135772679.post-13532535073734769292011-08-10T03:59:30.749-07:002011-08-10T03:59:30.749-07:00I go to VA Women's Center and I see Elizabeth ...I go to VA Women's Center and I see Elizabeth Compton. So the fact that you were able to see some progress at all is a sign that you *can* get better =)
I hope the flare goes away soon and you can get back to making progress! This Patient Perspectivehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06620595337695062633noreply@blogger.com
